ShadowRealms AI 0.10: V5, Greek, new foundations and a trailer
4 October 2026 / Lefteris Iliadis / SomniusX

ShadowRealms AI, my local AI Storyteller for World of Darkness chronicles, has just made its biggest leap: versions 0.9.0 to 0.10.0 came out together, and with them a two-minute trailer, in English and in Greek.
The most visible change is the two rules editions: every chronicle is played either with classic Revised or with V5, each with its own dice engine, character forge and character sheet. V5 has Hunger dice, messy criticals, bestial failures, Willpower rerolls and Rouse checks, and when the Storyteller asks for a roll, the server works out the pool from your sheet.
The app got a gothic redesign with 97 original SVG glyphs, fog, candle glow and blood dripping on botches, and it now speaks Greek end to end: more than 1,080 strings, and a Storyteller that answers in your language, in Greek with Llama-Krikri running locally.

A chronicle in Greek · the grimoire of 97 glyphs.
Underneath, 0.10.0 “New foundations” replaces the foundations: the interface now builds with Vite, in about a second, vulnerabilities in the production dependencies went from 69 to zero, and every change passes tests, lint and CodeQL before it lands. The Laya classifier, which moderates the out-of-character chat, was trained locally with the same process as RecMeets' Laya.
The trailer
Everything in it is real: real AI Storyteller replies from a local model, real dice rolls and an original score. Both videos, in English and in Greek, play on the ShadowRealms AI page, along with every screen, the tech stack and the install steps.
