The personal website

lefteros.com is the personal website of Lefteris Iliadis / SomniusX, who is responsible for personal-data processing on this site. It brings together projects, technical notes, public contributions and material from his previous professional activity.

For privacy questions or individual-rights requests, use the contact form with “Privacy” as the subject. You do not need to make your request public. This notice covers the personal website, not independent customer services or other sites reached through links.

Browsing without advertising tracking

Public pages do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, Google Analytics, remarketing or advertising profiles. There is no cookie banner because those mechanisms are not installed. Language selection uses a link and is not stored in a cookie.

Fonts and images are served locally. Search runs in your browser against a public index without sending your search term to a search service. Reading does not require an account, location access or a newsletter subscription.

The editorial area is separate: the authorised editor signs in through GitHub using an essential security session. This is not a reader-tracking feature.

Hosting and technical data

To deliver a page, the server receives your IP address and request information. Hosting access or security logs may contain the time, requested URL, response status, browser information and referring page when your browser supplies them.

These are used to operate the site, diagnose faults and prevent abuse—not to build advertising profiles. The basis is the legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation, limited to necessary data. The absence of cookies does not make a server request anonymous.

Contact

When sending is enabled, the form requires your email address for a reply and your message. Your name and a subject or project reference are optional. Without a reply address and message, the form cannot submit an enquiry. Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive information that is unnecessary for the conversation.

The message is delivered to the operator’s private correspondence through an email service. It is used to respond, handle that specific enquiry and follow up where relevant. It is not published and does not subscribe you to marketing.

General enquiries are handled on the basis of a legitimate interest in responding to correspondence. A specific collaboration request may require processing to take steps at your request before entering a contract. Rights requests are handled to meet the relevant legal obligations. Simply visiting the site is not treated as blanket consent to other processing.

To limit abusive submissions, the application keeps a cryptographically derived IP identifier and timestamps. It does not store the message body in its rate-limit database. Entries older than one hour are removed on the next submission; without another submission, they may remain until the next cleanup. Application error messages do not log the content of your correspondence.

Public articles and references

The archive includes my own published writing, with attribution to the original source where applicable. Linux-User.gr mirrors retain their original language and source reference. Other users’ full discussion threads are not imported as my personal articles.

An article may mention people, groups or public contributions where relevant. For a correction or removal request concerning personal information, contact me with the specific content URL. Relevant public history is retained on the basis of a legitimate interest in personal expression and documentation, taking account of the rights of the people concerned.

External links lead to services with their own policies. Visiting GitHub, Linux-User.gr or another service is your choice. Search engines may index public pages; copies they retain are outside this site’s control.

Providers and retention

The hosting provider serves the site and handles the technical delivery of requests. Correspondence passes through email transport and storage providers. GitHub supports private source control, releases and the editor’s login. Ordinary browsing does not send your form submission to GitHub.

Correspondence is kept for the time needed to answer and follow up. Where it relates to a collaboration or legal obligation, only relevant records are retained for the applicable period. Technical logs and backups follow the necessary security, diagnostic and recovery cycle. Continued need for retention is reviewed periodically.

Providers may use infrastructure or support in different countries. Before using a service that involves a transfer outside the EEA, the appropriate transfer mechanism and safeguards must be confirmed. You can request information about the providers and safeguards relevant to a particular enquiry through the contact form.

Your rights

Depending on the legal basis and applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is used, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Limited additional information may be needed to verify identity and locate the records. Requests are normally handled within one month, with notice if a lawful extension is needed. You may also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority or the relevant supervisory authority. This site does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on visitors.

How the site was built

This website was built with Astro, with development assistance from OpenAI Codex and the Astra model. This credits the development tools: public pages do not contain a chatbot or model calls, and the contact form does not forward messages to an AI model.

Previous policy and updates

The 2022 company policy remains as a historical article, with personal contact details removed. It describes former services and does not govern the current personal site.

This notice will be updated when actual features or processing practices change. The Greek and English versions describe the same operation.
