LEFTEROS / PERSONAL NOTES
My dwm-titus work is merged: agent skills, Diagnose with AI and eight more pull requests
3 November 2026 / Lefteris Iliadis / SomniusX

Back in October I wrote about agent skills for dwm-titus and about hidden Wi-Fi, keyboard layouts and a clock with seconds. All of it was still open back then. Now it's all merged into dwm-titus, Chris Titus's dwm desktop for Fedora.
The agent skills
The whole point for me was simple. Omarchy ships a set of skills, so an assistant knows how the desktop is put together and can debug and fix things on it, and I wanted dwm-titus to have the same. That's why I sat down and wrote the skills, and burned a lot of tokens doing it: so dwm-titus has its own skill set for an assistant to debug a broken desktop and fix code, even when an app hangs.
I asked for skills in #298 and proposed shipping them, along with "Diagnose with AI", in #378. I wrote two skills, modelled on how Omarchy ships its own, and built and tested them on a real Fedora 44 install:
- dwm-titus: changing keybinds, themes, window rules, the panel, autostart, wallpaper, lock and the greeter.
- dwm-titus-debug: read-only diagnosis when something on the desktop is broken.
They went into Chris's skills repo (titus-ai, now titstack) with pull request #4 on 28 October.
Then today, 3 November, Chris merged pull request #419 into dwm-titus itself. The PR says it's "Adapted from Somnius's proposal branch", which is my ai-assist branch. What it brings:
- The two skills ship with dwm-titus in
config/agents/skills/, and there's also an optional RPM,dwm-titus-ai-skills. They keep their MIT licenses. - "Diagnose with AI" notifications when an app crashes or hangs. The diagnosis only starts when you click it.
- A Settings > AI assistant page for choosing your assistant: Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Claude Code, Cursor CLI or Hermes.
- Chris added hang detection, off by default, and a Force quit button for windows that stop responding.
Both #298 and #378 are now closed as completed.
Eight more pull requests
These were all merged on 2 November:
- #379: join hidden Wi-Fi networks from the panel (fixes #375).
- #380: docs on which config survives updates.
- #381: optional seconds in the panel clock.
- #383: dwm publishes the keyboard layout and accepts switch requests.
- #384: a keyboard layout pill in the panel, with click to switch.
- #385: Settings > Input hides button-only "keyboards" and merges split input devices.
- #395: tags that have windows get marked, like in stock dwm.
- #396: a fix for a flaky test.
Together, #383 and #384 resolve #68, the old request for language switching, and #382. Chris closed #68 and #373 with comments that they're fixed on main.
When you'll get it
Nothing has been released yet. The latest release is v0.7.2, and all of this is on main only, so it's coming in the next release.
The dwm-titus page lists every pull request I've sent, what each one does and where it stands, plus how to try main before the next release. That's the page I keep up to date.
Thanks to Chris for taking all of it in, and to everyone who opened the issues.
