LEFTEROS / PERSONAL NOTES
What has happened?!

Historical text from HellasProject (2009–2014). It is not current advice or a present-day service.
For a long time I have not only not written on the site but in general I have stepped back from iOS developing.
You will ask how and why and from what?
Do not go far: from the first day they released the SDK I had downloaded it, as a separate thing as it was from Xcode, and I played for about six months until I decided to make something worth putting on the App Store because I believed it would bring some money; we did not all do it for granny’s soul, right..
A little time passed, the SDK system matured, even the users and the spread of jailbreak. I am not “against” jailbreak as a process of “opening” the device toward more things without a digital signature from Apple; I am, however, against piracy.
My last 3 apps and more specifically WiFi Spots GR, which took me endless hours to collect the wifi hotspots and I spent more there than on a prettier user interface, they “cracked” in less than 8 hours and it was on the “alternative” for the cheapskates..
That resulted not only in a drop in sales but the damn it.. that, brother, you bought a device that is the most expensive on the market, you have in front of you something a fellow Greek spent hours/days creating, why do you not honour him with a paltry 0.79€ of which 0.49€ reaches me (30% withheld by Apple)?? For cigarettes you have money, to get a frappé every day from a well-known cafe chain you have money.. did I burn you that much??
How can each of us then have the spark to continue what he does, how can I take the strength to keep supporting what I started without the simple contribution of users, site, app; it simply does not happen.. there is no other why and how..
Before I close I inform you of the negative of the affair. As I stopped being an iOS Developer, so Apple turns and says, friend OK, but your apps will no longer be available on the App Store; whoever got them got them and let them keep them; I say too, since I work for free, what can I say, let it be so.. I will soon upload their source code to GitHub so whoever wants can take them for future reference, and some builds will go up in a Cydia repository for ready-made folks who cannot build in Xcode.
Finally to close, our mentality ate us, know that; I had every good intention, always open to the community; the “level” of some from the community “ate me for salad”.. :-/
