Under stress and dust

A few months ago my wife’s computer (PC) would not turn on when you pressed the button. I did not consider it a problem then, something that often happens because of voltage that down in the south is not stable!

Except that lately I was meeting this little problem more often, which yes, pulling the power for a bit and everything was honey and milk, I did not think of the afterwards!

My big problem came the other day when my wife’s box simply would not start again!! Come on dear, a little with the cable, nothing, and I had bought two days earlier two UPS units, one for me and one for my wife! I take it off the UPS and put it in a dry socket… Nothing!!!

Whoa, who can listen to her now!

I explained the situation and found my wife calm!!

Dialogue follows:

Me “how come you didn’t lose it?”
Wife “no problem, go on, move aside..”
Me “.. what do you mean move aside, I have work, I have to burn a disc for a friend….”
Wife “.. well, you had work, you broke it, and until you fix it I will occupy yours!!!”
Me “but my gold”…“..but my dear..”

Anyway I paid for the whole story!

I eventually bought a new Cooler Master Power Pro Silent 500W and opened the lady of the house’s case to do the swap…. and what should I see!! (video)

In short kids, take a little care of your tools, because they tend to gather dust like crazy!
