LEFTEROS / PERSONAL NOTES
Depth of field [iPhone camera trick]
28 November 2010 / Lefteris Iliadis / SomniusX
Historical text from HellasProject (2009–2014). It is not current advice or a present-day service.
When you photograph something very close to an iPhone 3GS/4 lens — about 10 cm (4–8 inches) — the phone enters a super close-up mode. You can defocus the background so it goes soft.
Tap the near subject so the phone separates it from the background. Instant “depth of field,” like a pro.
